More information here: [https://hh.mynetworkglobal.com/en/what:job/jobID:108264/where:4] Principal duties: The successful candidate will work on methods for analysing human motions for applications in healthcare or sports. The analysis can be performed for at least three purposes: classify activity that is performed, to estimate intensity of the activity performed or to assess quality of the activity. The signal modalities can e.g. be inertial sensors or sEMG. To validate the developed methods experiments are made with humans in biomechanical laboratories, hospitals or in real world environments. The research will be performed in close collaboration with our industrial partners. The successful candidate will also be expected to carry out some teaching and administrative tasks at the department. Qualification: The position is intended for someone with a master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related fields. Desirable skills include expertise in statistics, and signal analysis as well as with tools like Matlab or Python. Salary: Doctoral students are employees of the University and paid a salary according to a uniform salary scale, adjusted in relation to the progress in education and the first step is SEK 25 000 before taxes. The position includes doctoral studies up to doctoral degree and is annually extended in accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance Chapter 5, §7. The total employment period is four years but may be extended to a maximum of five years if the student performs 20% teaching or other tasks within the university.
