Abstract
The EU project "DEWI-Dependable Embedded Wireless Infrastructure" with 58 partners from 11 countries deals with the development of wireless sensor networks and applications. DEWI deals with more than 20 industry driven application cases for citizens and professional users. The worked out results shall in conclusion be introduced to the public in all of Europe by using clear practical demonstrations in the areas of aeronautics, automobile, railroad and building automation. Furthermore DEWI provides essential contributions to interoperability, standardization and certification of wireless sensor networks and wireless communication.
