Abstract This paper presents a modified model of brain emotional learning based fuzzy inference system (BELFIS). It has been suggested to predict chaotic time series. We modify the BELFIS model merging radial basis function network with adaptive neuro-fuzzy network. The suggested model is evaluated by testing on complex systems and the obtained results are compared with the results of other studies. © 2013 IEEE.
