The competition is intended to evaluate iris and periocular algorithms in cross spectrum conditions (near-infrared vs. visible images).
The Cross-Eyed 2016 competition received registrations from 13 participants from regions all over the globe: Canada, China, Germany, Ireland, India, Italy, Norway, United Kingdom and United States of America.
Four teams submitted their methods to the intermediate periocular evaluation, and two submitted their methods to the final evaluation.
