A central issue for automated systems is safety; the system must not harm humans or damage objects in the environment. Safety concerns have become more and more important as the use of automated systems has spread and advances in sensor technology, sensor integration, and object detection and avoidance have been more widely adapted.

The aim of the project is to develop algorithms and methods for safety assurance for human in automated crane environment.
